"Redemption"

By Monte Malenke, December 2020

This Jackson Pollock style painting was created using cast-off or “oops” paints from local home improvement stores. These are cans of paint that were mixed in error or considered mistakes and could not be sold at the normal price becoming almost worthless, likely ending up in the garbage.

And yet, they still could be used to create this work of art, becoming something of value to be appreciated and enjoyed. They were “redeemed” through the eye and vision of the creator of this work.

This painting is a depiction of the redemption we can experience through the love and intimate relationship of our Creator. When we see our lives as failures or mistakes making us feel worthless and without hope, He specializes in transforming us into new creatures loved and filled by Himself who is the embodiment and source of pure Love.
